My son has been waiting since last week for this. He has been wanting to post some of his art work on the HAMB for a while now but has been either too nervous or too shy to let me do this ...for fear of "What if the guys from the HAMB don't like it"...I finally convinced him to do it so We hope you guys like his drawings.

(brief intro...Gabriel is 11 years old and he lives and breathes old cars/trucks. Rods,Customs,Muscle cars, Choppers you name it he loves them. Gabriel has Muscular Dystrophy so he spends his whole day in his wheel chair; so while other kids his age are outside playing he is inside reading car magazines or drawing or surfing car related web sites. Especially the HAMB)

    TD,
Please tell your son that we think his work is cool! And tell him not to be shy about posting- there are many friends to be made here who enjoy art and who can teach art tips to younger artists....best of luck with what you enjoy Gabe!

    Best,
    Johnny & Kali

This week is another ordered Desk Top Art Work, almost completed. This one is #39 and is about 9 1/2" long, about 4" wide and about 3 1/2" high. This slammer has no drive train and is entirely hand formed 20 G sheet metal. It will be shipped in bare steel.

I'm posting up a couple of pics of Desk Top Art Work from two weeks ago that got zapped in the HAMB crash. Both of these were ordered cars as well. The first one (2nd?) is a duece roadster pickup, #37.

The last one is a duece Hi Boy coupe, #38.

So far, the late 30 to late 40 cars are the hardest ones to make because of all the compound curves in the body work. It's a pain in the ass to try to keep these little bodies some what smooth when you are hammering them out on on a block of wood to form them. Gene

Way cool, and much better than the drawings I was doing at his age!!! I'm diggin' it, tell him we'll look forward to more from him.

Tell him that even the best artists wear out both ends of their pencils. :)

Here's a scribble of my own...an Eyerush digital hybrid.

...........a buddy at work has built a Triumph bobber. The tank was an old, chipped up dark gray and the rear fender was bare metal. I've been playing with it this week with a few rattle cans...........

...........the "flake" is paint called Sun Burst that a guy in PA sells at car shows. It is the same stuff I used as backgrounds on my recent panels.........

A conversation between Gabriel and Brush.
Gabriel: "Mr. Brush, I draw cars too."
Brush: "Can you draw like me?"
Gabriel: "I used too, but I've gotten better."

Keep up the good work Gabriel, we want to see more.

Ok Keifer, now I know who you are. The tiki stuff rocks.

Gabriel, you have good eye for proportion that is beyond your years. Keep up the good work.

Gabriel, your stuff is right on. Got spokes and good flame action going on. If you keep drawing like that in a year both Johnny Ace and Brush will be working for you.

My weekly contribution....look forward to details of an art show I am having in the very near future.
