Hey friends, just wanted to let everyone know as of the end of this week I have the opportunity to get back to work at a real job and will be relocating to Jarrell, Texas to work with my good friends Darrell and Tim at Cimtex Rods. I have always loved the people and the cities in Texas so this is really exciting for me. A little bit nervous as I'm a 8th generation So-Cal native and my dad has never lived outside a 6 block radius.
I also want to let anyone know I will still be an amb***ador for SO-CAL Speed Shop helping anyone that would like a great deal on their parts and equipment. This is not so much to help me (I have a job now) as it to help my friends here on the HAMB get a great deal and to help my good friends at SO-CAL sell a few extra parts through my connections. If ANYONE in Texas needs SO-CAL stuff keep me in mind and I can hook you up. If there is something you are wanting really bad right now let me know and I can bring it and save you a few dollars and the shipping as well.
But most of all, I'm REALLY looking forward to just being part of the scene there in Texas and see more of my many friends like the Burroughs family, Pat Barnhart, Tom Weeks, Chris Ito and a whole bunch more!
After a very bumpy last few years it feels GREAT to have all the wheels finally back on the road and a direction to head to. Thanks friends! Jim

Congrats on the job. I imagine it would be a bit of a nervous time moving out of a familiar area and a new job

That's a pretty good place to be in Central Tx. Close to Austin, just around the corner from Little River Drag strip and even close to some good b***, ****pie and cat fishing if you like to fish.

Expatriate, not ex-patriot. You still love America, right?

Uh oh, there goes the neighborhood - more Californians with all their weird behavior! Ha! Welcome to the flyover zone.

Hey, now you can even afford a nice house.

Welcome to Texas. I moved here from Colorado about seven years ago. It was pretty weird at first, kinda like moving to a foreign country, except your money still works. I love it now, and I'm glad I made the change.

Hey Roger, I will be seeing a TON of people I haven't seen in a while. I have basically been sitting out the last year waiting for something to happen. Can't wait to get out to the shows again!
