Has anyone used the MSD points digital conversion kit? I have always had good luck with MSD products and am considering converting my 57 Ford 312 to electronic.
I have used the Pertronix kit with mixed results.
The MSD has the multi spark technology.
Of course I will still carry points and condensor in the glove box so I can get home in case of a failure.

If you're talking the points replacement I don't think you get the "multi spark technology". I believe you'll need to box to do that.

  3. south, the multiple sparks are only during cranking, to aid with starting, TR

The Pertronix III has multi-spark (full range) and rev limiter.

I know it is only multispark to aid starting, but is anyone running an MSD unit?
I have used the Pertronix units in an old Ford tow truck and it worked, but had to be replaced several times over a 10 year period.
I have converted other dist. using the Mallory unit.Mostly on Chevrolets for guys wanting the original look.
This MSD unit looks promising. I guess I will just go ahead and install one in my old Y-block and I will let everybody know how they work .
