Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by oldfart36, Apr 26, 2011.

  1. With all the weather that has hit in Ark. and Mo., I'm hoping all the Hamb friends in those areas will chime in with good news.;)

  4. Over the past couple of days we have had severe thunder storms and flooding all around us. This afternoon a tornado took out a couple of buildings adjacent to a friends house. Fortunately, everyone we know has come through OK. Appreciate your concern.

oldfart36 posted the concern most of the HAMB has been thinking about I'm sure. Although severe wearther can happen anywhere (we had a couple tonandoes in 2008 and were flooded five times in 2006,) you folks in that neck of the woods have had way more than your share. Good luck and prayers to all of you.

toadfrog here on the HAMB had damage at his house. A 70 ft tall pecan tree fell, taking out the deck on the back of his house, missing the house with the trunk by about 3 inches. A branch from the tree went through the roof over a bathroom, but they're all ok.

Quite a bit of damage in the county.

To say the water is up is an understatement.

We could be worse. It sounds like half of Alabama is wiped out today.

  11. This is the White River just north of Mountain View Arkansas! About 14 miles from my house. Most of the time the water is 60 70 feet from the bottom of the bridge! Now a few years ago the water was a foot from flowing over the bridge! We just got some more rain today and then in a few day we are gonna get some more!

  12. Work and live in North Little Rock. My coworkers and myself have been blessed with not having problems while some have been in the crosshairs. Seems like the storm last week was more of a problem in my area. 60 year old oak trees dancing like a hula dancer will lead to problems in most occasions.
Many folk can't tell the same story. Many folk have stories to tell. I have a few new leaves to rake and twigs to pick up.

  13. Wow, is that the Kimberly City bridge?
