I have a couple of Rochester B series carbs with throttle shaft/bore that are too loose. Other than that they are in great shape. What are you guys doing to fix? I'm looking at the Rochester 4 barrel throttle shaft repair kits wondering if they will work in the cast iron B base?

how much are repair kits and who sells them? usually the largest expense in the kits is the stepped drill bit but they are worth buying. i have repaired some GM carbs and bought the bushings at napa but back in the day some guys used old spent ammunition to repair throttle shaft bores.

There is a place here in Ohio that can do the job if you don't mind shipping it.
it is Advanced carburator and ignition in Dayton, Ohio. You can google it to get the info. I have had a few completely redone by him. He is an older guy with a one man shop that has been doing this for years. I just had a carb done for my 41 plymouth, and couldn't be happier with it.
