Bare model A frame weight

Curious to how much a bare model A frame weights 150lb?

 

Don't know.... but I can pick it up and move it myself

 

It has to be less then 150 lbs, I could lift it by myself with no problem. I never actually though about weighing it, but it's too late now. Good question... anybody?

 

Roughly 100-125 by my guestimation.

 

One in my driveway right now has side rails, front and rear crossmembers only. 80-90lbs maybe?

 

Somebody, take your bathroom scale outside.

 

I put a Model A frame on my bathroom scale a few years ago. It was a stock frame with front & rear crossmembers only. I removed the center crossmember and all mounting brackets. If I remember correctly, it weighed something like 105lbs. For comparison I also weighed a friends 2x3x.120" rectangle tube frame. Same specs as a Model A but with 6" kickup in the rear and round tube front & rear crossmembers. It weighed in at around 175lbs.

 

Which sounds about right ***uming you were planning on boxing the A frame.
