Thanks for the kind words, guys!

tub in da dirt, we are shooting for the 450-500hp range.

We'll see what the dyno says......

  10. Update on the Heads: Chris managed to get a full prototype machined at work our of a REN material. We fitted them to the block, put bolts through all the holes to test alignment, checked the bore alignment one more time and checked valve to head clearance at a .525 lift. We have about .080 over the valves - just about right.

Here are some pictures - man is it cool to see something "real", put your hands on it and see how the block looks! Really nice stuff!

I can't wait to see the real aluminum ones that Kevin is making - they're going to be the cat's ***!

Keep cranking everybody - we have so much to do, we have to keep the pace and focus up!

    Chris, that's just awesome!

Guys, thanks for all the kind words! The support really means a lot!

    Photoshop by RichG- Thanks Rich!

So FlatCad guys, think the car with some mods, could get us into the '200' club, with a Jimmy 302 dressed with a Skinner head and injection, on fuel?
    Just sayin....

*****in! have you decided on a color?

  18. I think you need somebody to letter it with 'Medusa' on the side - maybe with a bunch of 'snakes' motif! :D

...OR a snakepit under the hood!

How about a blown, Skinner dressed 302, on fuel to push 'Medusa' to the 200mph mark?

    More chop, track nose, etc........

    You in?:D

did the 302 lead work out?

  21. Now Buddy . . . don't be giving up on ole' FlatCAD before we even have a chance to run this snake headed *****!

We may find that we have our hands full with what we have  But - I'm always open for options . . . you always have to keep dreaming about the 'next car', 'next motor' - etc!

Haha! The FlatCad will always be my first love!

I'm just thinking, that after we run it a year or two, we'll get 'bit' by the salt.

Then we'll want to go 200mph

    220mph

    240mph

    .....:D

Oh, and did I mention fuel injected, 12 port Skinner head?!

Jimmy 302, Ummmmmm... Call Joe Fontana for all your special parts you will require... Great guy to deal with, however; as you know the parts are very expensive. I am very lucky as I just found a Jimmy Magneto....

Yeah but ****, you can probably find another wife easier than you can find another skinner cylinder head.

Buddy, That flame red is just the perfect color for a race car. Of course it will look all the better when you get the lettering/sponsors on it. Hope that I can be at Bonneville when this one fires off !

Damn its lookin good Buddy, and Dale you are on a mission, great job, love to hear this thing when she first makes smoke........................

  29. that head alone looks awesome, will be a fitting 'piece' of the puzzle (and make people wonder what on earth is going on there, ditto with the car's lines, in red that's going to be all cl***...very impressive all round.

I wonder if I could make a 8BA head in a similar fashion.....mmmm...look what you guys have done;):D

Enjoying the build, keep your 302 thoughts for down the road, get this flat motor done, then tick the box and go up a gear, but not till it's done.

    Cheers,

    Drewfus:)
