I just landed one on the cheap! It's been an excellent day. Pictures to follow... 2-door, no motor or ******, and a trunk full of history I didn't expect. #winning!
Sweet! The brougham is much rarer then the coupe. Check-out pix in my gallery. My dad has a 49 Brougham. He is alson on the HAMB "Hdsn49" Contact him if you have any questions
Thanks for the good words guys, this car is over the top. I'll throw some pictures up later today. We didn't pick it up until last night...
S-M-O-O-T-H looking cars. This one is a nice diamond in the rough; tons of potential, the before and after shots are gonna be great.
Is the window one of the only differences between 1949-1950? There are a lot of things about this car that are confusing me, as far as year to year is concerned.
The serial number is on the p***enger side door hinge post. 1949 and 1950 have the following obvious differences --- Grille ('48-'49 same, changed in '50) Rear window on yours is a '50, and a one-year-only item, BTW. '48 - '49 is one-piece, as is '51-up. Hood ornamentation. My '50 Pacemaker coupe, shown below, has a '49 grille in it. My '50 Commodore 6 4-dr parts car had the split back window in it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/album.php?albumid=1188&pictureid=9524
