Darryl Withers was marketing his own kit that used an International truck motor and rods to replace the cables. This was a ways ago when I still had my '53. I'll see if I can chase up his number. Cheers, Matt

After putting a newport on my falcon, I do not think I could use them again. not enough sweep, just a 90 degree..
Have you tried to adjust the position of the wiper arms? Are they adjusted to far down when in the off position. The reason I ask is because mine goes a little more than 90 degrees.
