    I am a big Mopar lover. Been to the Mopar Nats many times over the last 15 years. But I dont remember seeing one of them. Dont get me wrong I'm not saying your wrong I would just like to see one for real. I like wagons and that one has some body lines that look cool.

  12. It's a '61 Dodge, probably a Polara with those taillights. The other models didn't have the lights in the outside of the fender - but wagons could have been different.

    Yup, '61. A sedan is pretty ugly but I like the wagons, kind of spaceship looking.

    there are quite a few places where old iron can be found rusting in peace. the major pit fall i have encountered in this area is when you find something you ask the property owner is it for sale and the typical response is and has been and very well might beis;

    well someday i want to or i am going to restore that, or i have to ask my (who ever) relative if he wants to sell it, or numerous other reasons. the best part of all this is the person you are trying to deal with is about 80+ y/o, in bad health and one foot on the banana peel and the other hovering over the grave on their way to the dirt nap.

    last but not least the price they put on the item is so off the scale you could probably buy nos and get a better deal.

    currently the price of s**** is up, the best place i have found is to hang out at the scales at your local s**** yard and if you can't buy it off the guys truck then ask the yard what is the buy back and you will come out far better than dealing with the person that you originally approached.

    word to the wise ............

    don't look like you have much money for the item.............

    Well, that isn't the deal here , if you look , I bought that ESSO gas pump for $50.00 , I also bought that '30 Dodge 4 door sedan...$100.00 , and if you can tell , theres a '46 Ford coupe....I bought it for another $100.00.... So that being said , I didn't have to have "much money" to buy off of this guy , It is just being in the right place at the right time , and having a keen enough eye to catch that glimmer of chrome peeking thru the trees...

    Seneca was the entry level Dart Model the other model were Pioneer and Pheonix, all different trim and option levels of the same platform on the 118 in wheelbase. For 61 Dodge also built what was a combination of the Matadore and Polara on a 122 wheelbase shares with the chyrsler windsor. So if the Dart was considered a full sized car from 60 through 62, what size were the ones on the 122 in wheel base known as?

    This was before Supersize was a popular term, and the widsor was the Chrylser line's smaller car.

    The Dart wagon shared the polara fenders and tail lights as the Dart sedan mounted then down in the space beween the fin and bumper end.

    61 Polara

    Any way you look at it , its a good find and score. If I wasn't so far away I would hook up the trailer and take some of the loot!

    Wow.. I paid $200 for a pump at GoodGuys one year. Missing the hose, handle, and one
    panel on the side. But the little gl*** bubbles were still intact. I love it, and those
    things are heavier than they look.
