Hi all, this is Warren from central Maine, I've been following your junkyard posts and found this place today that I know you will all love.

I was visiting my uncle today and while on our 2 hour trip up north, I remembered there was a old chevy guy with a large collection of stuff so we decided to try and find him and we did! I thought you'd enjoy reading this.

This place is in Maine and is amazing. He has some really nice Chevrolets, may some of the nicest I have ever seen. He still has the mint original 50 chevy he bought new, a 22 Chevy with 3,000 original miles! I saw these cars and they were so cool. They are all his pride and joy and are not for sale.

Out back, he has several hundred parts cars or projects if you are ambitious, mostly pre 1955. :D I have never seen so many pre 1955 cars in my life. I'm into the 60's chevies, which he had plenty of too but I was in awe at how many old cars he had. Lots of Chevrolets. His father was pure chevy and so is he.

He is 83, been at that location since 1933! He would be interested in selling the stuff he has out back. And I hope some of the stuff gets bought. He had heart surgery a little less than two years ago and voiced his concern that should anything happen to him, all these cars out back would probably get crushed. There are tons of good parts on these cars and some may be rare enough to warrant a restoration. They are rusty for sitting out there so long but are complete.

Anyway, I have made an online album with pics of the yard. Since I was mainly looking for 60's stuff, I didn't go far back into the old old stuff pre 1950 but there is plenty of it back there. His prices are very reasonable for parts, and I think he would be reasonable for a whole car. I don't know much about the pre 1955 cars to identify what model they are.

PM me for more details of the place. It is about 4 hours north of where I am in Hebron, ME.

I didn't resize the photos (sorry about that) so I will only attached a few to the post.

Anymore junkyards I find in the future, I'll let you all know. Warren

If you go to the photobucket link, there are more photos of the yard. I didn't get to far back into the 40's stuff as I had already spent three hours in the yard and hadn't even gotten to my destination! There probably is some old Ford stuff up there. The owner and his father hated Fords so they may have dragged some out back right away years ago instead of trying to sell them out front. I wouldn't know what I was looking at for the old Fords though.

I'm going to be making another trip up there before summer starts and can take more pictures.

Well it's good to see that he will let some things go now. My husband and i have been to this yard may times and alot of them are in very sad shape. We did manage to purchase a few things from him a few years ago. Guess we will have to check in on him again. Welcome to the hamb.

Thanks everyone. I'm hoping to get back there in a few weeks. I wish I lived a bit closer. But a four hour ride is not too bad.
