The shape of the bed and the plated "steps" on the red pickup with Ford headlights remind me an awful lot about Bob Panella's truck.
However, it had regular headlights and the rollbar installed inside the cab in all pictures I've seen of it, but since those pictures were taken around '65-'66, this might be an earlier version?

ChrisV........... I think you are right and it's been staring me in the face all these years. I compared a close-up of the Willys pick-ups. I put the photos in sequence by date and they're actually pretty close. Right down to the chrome steps.

Date: 3/10/1963- Red Pickup with 40 Ford headlights.
    FREMONT.

Date: 5/26/1963- Panella Trucking with all the Lettering.
    HalfMoonBAY

    Date: 3/15/1964- Panella '33' Willys
    KINGDON

There must have been upgrades between 3/10/63 and 5/26/63. Also. I tried to enlarge the Logo on the red Willys but could not make it out. I'm wondering if this may have been an earley Panella Trucking Company Logo.

Maybe someone can give me some feedback.

    Take care.......TOM

    Awesome pictures Tom!
Do you by any chance happen to have more of the Panella Pickup? (IMO it is - by far - the best looking '37-'42 gasser pickup ever built)

Does anyone have any clues on the black chopped Willys with the hood off with BB/G with the number 184 on the door (in the previous post)? It looks very much like the A/G Grist Bros chopped Willys run in the early 60s found in this thread:

The Willys was such a beautiful car. Thanks to all for all of the pic posts.

Any idea on where this car ended up? Last i saw of it was in New York and for sale on E-Bay.

Dave, this car looks very familiar. Is it from PA? I've seen a stock Willys in the past at some Street Rod shows in PA that was brown and had those same Olds hubcaps.

I bought the brown 40 coupe out of Pa last year and brought it back to New York. It was a good little car. It came out of Texas about 20 years ago. I sold it to a guy in California. He said he was going to leave it stock.

The deck lid opening, body lines fading away into the quarter panel, and tail pan all say Willys to me.....might help if you knew what a Zephyr looked like......or better yet, a Willys! LOL!
