A gift from a guy who saw my car at the Dairy Queen. He said his dad was our local HP. Too bad it's 6 volt - and probably illegal. It would be nice to have while waiting for a parking spot!

Might be just the ticket for a garage alarm, ad a power source, a timer..15-20 seconds should do it, and some motion sensors ,just a suggestion.

Yeah! We got snoops in the village. Good for crowd control at the bar, or kickin' folks out at 3 am.

voltage reducer solves the 6v problem, and as for not legal, its only against the law if you use it to try and pull someone over... there are plenty of restored 40's,50's and 60's patrol units out there with both lights and sirens... not to mention, it wouldnt sound anything like a modern siren

Actually, they sound just like a modern fire engine. Federal still makes sirens very much like that one. We've got them on our 2008 Pierce engines. Our mechanic uses Ford starter solenoids to wire them up in our older apparatus. They make plenty of noise. Bug Grinders are the coolest.

You have to check you local state laws. Some say if it is wired to work it is illegal. Kind of a fad with Ca. Low Riders to have it hooked up. Voltage drop should work fine to operate.

Let me know if you want to sell it because I could use it in my 47 Chevy woodie wagon. Thanks, Joe

I found a 5 amp DC power supply. The band wants to use it when we play "Highway Patrol".

no, it is not true... only untill 2am, and only on friday and saturday nights. rest of the week its 1:30...

but remember, if you know the guy who owns the bar, after bar close they'll turn off the outside lights, lock the door and put the cash drawer in the office... (so long as you are "giving the drinks away" there is no broken law) sit there till the sun comes up drinking till you p*** out on the bar. and if the cops come, "nope, we're just cleaning up the place officer"

    PS...

the term "Bar Close" is not considered a time up here... it is only when you change venue for drinking... "We're going to my place after bar close"
and no, it isnt bar closes, or after THE bar closes... its "Bar Close"

Bar Close, its more of a state of mind, than a time.
