I'm goin to Carlisle on friday ... leaving at like 5am from Brooklyn,NYC hoping to find a few things for the SLED.
Hows the weather?

 

My mom attended the Indian School at Carlisle a long time ago. They came and took the children out of the reservation in 1923 and sent them to schools at various locations like Riverside (Sherman) , Steilicoom, WA., San Angelo, TX and other sites. I have driven through there and it a beautiful area.

I think the children at the Indian School probably got a pretty good "white man's" education, but removing those kids from their homes and heritage was a terrible mistake.

Not to venture off to politics, but check out the movie "Rabbit Proof Fence" sometime if you're interested in how indigenous children are treated.

 

sup tony i wish i could have went with ya but im busy with work finally i did pull out my plates for the 38 & 47 for you to restore but i have to check with dmv if they clear first its going to be a lil while

 

we have a model A fanatic friend who is down there parts hunting. He'll be looking for 50' plymouth parts for us because we unfortunately/fortunately are dedicating our entire weekend to working on the car.

 

So if you've got one of those highfalutten phones that can post on the HAMB, take some pictures of the old hotrod parts that you come across. Don't be afraid to share.

I went on Wednesday, not so good today its was raining like no other so, I will be there Friday. If anybody is looking for something else to do on Saturday there is a car show nearby called Sled Fest at the Old Sled Works in Ducannon .

The tan '56 Chevy pickup was my Dad's. It sold pretty quick
