If you paint it bronze, you WILL have to put up with people asking, "Is that your Brown car?"

I sit here totally amazed,... not only over what a nice job you have done,... but, How in the world did I miss this thread !!!!!

A 46-48 Ford, chopped, Carson topped custom has always been something I have wanted to do. but have never done,... and looking at the "to-do" list,... will probably never get around to doing,.... very nice job !,.. I'm envious.

No real progress. Car is at the bodyshop and is being worked on in spare time. Don't know what color the car will be pianted. At first was thinking some bronze, now I am leaning towards dark blue. I have ordered the engine parts for the 365 Caddy and waiting to arrive.

I have to ask- where did you find the '57 Dodge Custom Royale? There has to be a great story....

@Radioking: no, the car will be ready for the KW of 2012....I hope....this year will be there with a 35 Ford 3 windows and a 32 roadster....will you be there, too?

@Hemiboy: the CRL was bought from the Forward Look website, and is running very well, problem is rust around windshield and back window. I am finishing bodywork on my 300 F and then it's to the CRL

My program on the 48 Ford is getting the car all ready to paint. Will finish engine compartment and undercarriage, install engine and get the car running, and then paint the car. Problem is, don't have an idea about color....first was blue, than bronze, then dark red and now it's back to blue....

Wow, adventurer, nice project. Nice work. Didn't see the thread 'til now. Nothin' like a chopped Fordillac convert. Got 'er painted yet? Color? I'm with you on paint...dark colors that almost turn black at night...deep dark blues, burgundy, even dark greens and chocolate brown/bronze. Maybe thinking of the whole package...exterior/interior can help you decide...or maybe confuse you more, lol. Regardless, looking great, and can't wait to see more progress and then finished...gonna be so cool. Subscribed.
