Does anyone now where i could still find atlas plycron tires i have three which are like new but they are all different sizes. They are 78/15s but all but one is a j78/15 one is a g78/15 and the other is a f78/15. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
They were sold through Chevron stations in the 60's and maybe early 70's. Those tires have to be right at 40 years old.
I wouldn't use tires that old, your only looking for trouble. I've thrown newer tires then that in a dumpster.
I doubt you are ever going to find a full set. I'd find people that could use them as spares or rollers. (yeah, I'd use one for that)
NOS ones come up on ebay all the time. Put all those sizes and the name in the your personal ebay search file and wait. You would be surprised. I was looking for an nos e78-14 Kelly Springfield 6 years back and at least 5-7 have appeared since then-all singles of course and I bought all of them.
Yea the two are brand new and have never been used till now i put them on my rims as rollers dont know if they would be safe to use for driving. The tires still have full tread epth hold air pressure great. Still have all the ******s on them
They would be nice for a set of matching garage wall art, but ***s on a bull when it comes to airing them up and putting them on 2 tons of steel.
