What seat works well in a 40 ford coupe? Do any of you guys have pictures of your own or maybe some tech? I am going to canfield swap this weekend if someone has one for sale.
    Thanks!

40 Coupes used 2 styles of seats.
Seat with split-back like Tudor in the business coupes with jump seats.
Seat with with hinged back rest which opened from the bottom to allow access to space behind seat. Either one is quite comfortable, availability is not easy and they can be expensive.

They may not be as traditional as a stock bench, but I used the buckets out of a mid 80's full size Ford Bronco. I removed the headrests, and had them re-upholstered. They have a shape similar to the early Mustang buckets, but they are a "bigger" seat, so they fill up the space really well. I also wanted them for the "tilt up" feature on the p***enger side. Makes it easier to get into the rear seat area.

What Pasadena hot rod said--40 seats--I prefer the split back but a little hard to find. Have used gilde as well and uph guy then forms the pads to mimic the 40 style-only issue is springs are a little soft on the edges so more springs are added to the bottom on the outside -otherwise the seat will break down on the outer edges

Great info from you guys. I love what 40&61fords did with his red and white seats out of a bronco. If anyone else has some ideas, keep them coming. Thanks for the help.
