I was doing some work for a friend and behind his shop was this rear axle. There was a beat up old Ford hub cap next to it.

My question is? What is it and is it or any of the parts good for anything?

    Thanks guys.

It's a Ford banjo rear. '40 or later, can't tell which one exactly from that pic. It's worth dragging home.

By the brakes, '40-up Banjo. Grab it, if just for the juice brakes. Get the front one if it is there too. All useful parts.

Thanks guys. Somebody made it into some sort of a cart or dolly trailer. Has a loop welded to the torque tube. Next time I'm over there I'll grab it.

The trailer hub peeking out in the picture to the left is a front one so it may be a Ford front axle with spindles and welded tie rods. Grab it too.
