I'm moving to Florida next month and I'm looking for a job in a shop. I plan to move to Ocala or someplace close so would like the job to be somewhere in Central Florida. I'm mostly looking for a secretary type job (answer phones, complete orders, order parts, clean store/shop, deal with customers, advertising, online stuff, prep work, slight body work..etc) I'm 22 years old, have two ***ociates degrees and working towards a bachelor degree.. still have a lot to learn so not 100% confident on my skills enough to do all the custom work for a shop so I think a secretary position would be best so I can work & continue to learn and grow. need something new in my life, I'm sick of the weather & economy in Michigan & my girlfriend moved to Ocala last June so doing the long distance ****s & this will make things easier..just need to find a job now..applied as a salesman to a few dealerships but I'd prefer to be around cl***ics & hot rods if possible
I don't know of a specific job, but the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing is in Ocala. Would not hurt to visit and let them see your enthusiasm! Great place to check out. Then there's Daytona Beach - it's an hour and a half away, but I can't help but think that there would be a lot of car and motorcycle shops around that area, due to the big racetrack at Daytona and various annual car and motorcycle events. At least one smaller racetrack near Daytona as well. Best of luck!
