So I've made some major changes to what I want the end result to be. Yes, it will still be flat black on the exterior with lime green and white pinstripe work. The interior is being converted as the dash is now gloss black and chrome. The carpet will be black and the seats will be black tuck and roll. The engine bay will be black and the motor will be lime green and chrome.

I've made some decent progress over the last few days. Got my motor mounts in, started closing up the holes in the firewall and finally, got half of the motor painted lime green.

The firewall, as you can see, I have a few more holes to fill but I did get the supports cut off.

Dont forget to cut the gussets from the front body mount legs and reverse them to the back side..some remove them completely but its just as easy to reverese the gussets. I know my sbc with fan just fits inbtween firewall n radiator.
Good clean looking car, good luck with it n have fun!

Heres a shot of the reversed gusset

Hi Chevy54, what do you mean gussets? I removed the firewall supports that go down to the frame to support the firewall. Is that what you are talking about?

Yes sorry support is another term for them ( the home builder in me conflicts with the car building part hah), the triangle gussets on the back side of mine as you can see in the pic above. I just happened to see the front supports were still there in one of your last pics and didnt want you to be fighting it. I just made a support on the back side of mine to keep it all sturdy.
