They are all great. but they also all need the trunk shaved, bumper smoothed, relocated fule door and no trim tail fins.
Your drawings are killer whatever you decide.
As forthe second batch i say the flipped ones rule so hard.
52pickup's idea is pretty sweet too thou.[/

removal of the tail fins (the first appearance of tail fins on a mopar) would render it back to the look of a 53. Perhaps a different rendering of fin rather than a dissapearance.

Use the 55 Plymouth, stick with the Mopar, also like the 54 Merc.

How about 49 Buick on end with the pointed end up?

55 ply original, but i do like the idea of the flip. I have a 54 myself and always felt it needed a bit of boost in the reat either an bit of a rise or just plan simple extend....these cars are pretty "bubblie" as is and they tried from the factory to make it look longer by adding an extended bumber, but they failed to just do the right thing and actually extend the rear of the car. I like the Merc ones too, looks nice and clean, but I think its best on these 54's to extend out the rear a bit to better fit the car and the huge forhead of the roof line.

Thanks for all the great ideas and feedback guys!
52 pickup, definitely a cool spin on the lincoln light.

53-4 plymouths had kind of a push me pull me at***ude. That all changed the next year with the 55 body style which had much more direction, which is why I like the 55 rear..

I dig the look of the 54 merc and 52 lincolns as well, though to look right it would mean removing the "fin" which might make the car even less directional.

The flipped 55 is cool, but more wild than this car will end up being. A fun idea none the less.

Regardless, i agree that the rear could afford a bit more length proportionally.

Chris, I love your sketching style! My votes are 2 and 3. The last one would look too much like a tri-five chevy, plus I love the idea of keeping the chrome spears. I gotta say though, the stock one's look kick *** too.

I like them all, which means you're gonna have to buy a few more '53 Plymouths.

X2 If we could all draw like you. We wouldn't need photoshop threads.

I think my favorite is the '54 Merc sans tail fins per chopolds' suggestion, with the flipped 55 Plymouth being a close second.

It's funny, my gut reaction when I saw the first 55 Plymouth sketch was "I think those would look good flipped". Scrolled down and bang.

I've always liked the Royal Lancer tailights, but the 55's look neat flipped. Nice job on the sketches, very talented.
