Hey Poncho people! I have a question 53 and 54 Pontiac bumper components... Are front and rear bumperettes the same and interchangable?? I can't quite tell and I don't have any to compare to. I suspect they are not, but it could be an optical illusion with all that's going on in the picture, visually. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Pretty much the answer I expected. Are they the same height and shape and just have a little bit different mounting angle because of bumper shape or are they just totally different all together? I have two sets of rears and I'm not going to run the front with an over-rider, just the bumperettes by themselves. Both sets I have need to be re-chromed, so if they could simply be modified slightly to fit the front, that would be resourceful for me. Then have them rechromed. Unfortunately the front bumper I have is too mangled to even try to mount a set of bumperettes on. So any info that can be added or confirmed would be helpful. Thanks!
Don't know the physical differences, but my Pontiac parts book shows 4 different part #s. FR, 515562; FL, 515563; RR, 515551; RR, 515552. Hope this helps.
