I just bought a 1946 chevy 4 door. I plan on dropping a sbc into it with a 700r4. My question is does anybody know what spindles will interchange with my car so i can switch to a 5-lug pattern? I have to swap out rear ends to get rid of the torque tube rear so i figured id swap the front hubs to have matching wheels.

you use the '51-54 car front end parts, everything from the backing plate outwards. Spindle and uprights do not need to be changed. You may have to modify the steering arms, but not sure.

you could also go with the '49-50 car parts, but these have the older style brakes, so I believe the backing plates are the same as your '46, which would mean you should be able to just swap the brake hub/drum ***embly.

This is what I've been told....

    Yes, '49/'50 drums/hubs are a bolt on.

49/50 hubs and drums are 5 lug and work with the ****py brakes you have. The 51-up parts give you the better Bendix type self energizing brakes, I'd do that if it were me.

I completely agree. I was merely confirming info offered in a prior post, not recommending them.
