Hot Rods 1933 5 window coupe first drive tonight! ITS ALIVE!! (with video)

first drive tonite! my lil buddie came over to help me bleed the brakes and then he wanted to hear it run, we let it run for a couple minutes and then i told him "are you just gonna stand there or are we going for a ride?" haha,he said "will it drive?" and i said "i dunno? lets see"


it did real well and the past year of long nights and weekends was well all worth the 20 minutes or so of driving it up and down the street! didnt go to far as this was the first run,but drove it up and down my street several times to make sure nothing fell off ,one of the negihbors came out and stood in the front yard watching us go back and forth ,(i guess the open headers grabbed his attention,he gave us a big thumbs up!)
towards the end of the fun it started popping a bit ,but got it back in the garage and figured it out.

so busy trying to get the videos towork forgot to upload the rest of the pics..

 

the band that holds the distributor cap down backed off and let the cap come loose letting the rotor pop loose and slighty shear, we were able to nurse it back into the garage thankfully...

Oh man that is so sweet. Jean and the kids got me a plasma cutout of a 33/34 Three window last fathers day and those are growing on me.

p.s. it was popping back, due to the lil shake down run mishap with the dist cap,,but it does have a lil bit of rough idle due to the 3/4 cam.
