Lost vin plate

    Hi my name is Brian Im putting my 56 f100 ford back together to sell and noticed I misplaced the orginal vin plate. I was told that you are able to get the vin from the frame does anyone know where I can find it?:confused:

    They were in the glove box as well as on the top of the frame rails. I have seen them both on the driver's side right in front of the firewall, and on the p*** side closer to the motor mounts.

    P***enger side, on top of the frame rail, right in front of the cowl.

    do you have the ***le for it? the vin is usually on the ***le.

    The exact same thing happened with my '54 a few years ago. Larry T is exactly correct. I just had to do a little surface rust-busting it was on the p***enger side frame rail.
