55 chevy starter wiring

    Positive battery cable goes to large terminal bolt on solenoid. Wire from start terminal on ignition switch goes to small terminal on end of solenoid. (not to copper connection that goes into starter. Easy connections. Good luck

    purple wire goes on small termial next to block,other one green? outside

    S terminal = purple wire from neutral safety switch if automatic trans. From ignition start terminal for stick. R terminal = green wire from ignition coil + terminal or ballast resistor terminal from + of coil.

    There might be a 10 or 12 gauge wire that connects to the big terminal where the battery cable connects. This is for voltage regulator, horn relay, etc.

    Enough said, now go wiore it up!
     
  7. the chain should be bolted to the frame and long enough to reach the road to complete grounding
