Great looking car... and it's an XL! Love those Galaxies. I drove a '64 XL during High School.

Any plans for it? Leave it stock or??

Neat car; I drove a 352/auto/white/red interior hardtop in high school for a while. Good memories.

Nice !!! ....................Had one just like it, same colour and all in High School, was much more accommodating for my girl and I than the 67 Camaro that replaced it. ;)

Any reason why I cant find a repair manual by Haynes, Clymer or Chilton for a 1964 Galaxie???

Bought my 64 XL 500 Convert with a 390 and auto, manual brakes and steer on eBay in 05. Picked it up with the wife and our two boys in Fort Smith, Arkansas and drove it across the US via Memphis (yeah, I know it was the wrong way), Little Rock, Roswell (luckily no one got probed), Albaquerque (we turned left, just like Bugs), the Grand Canyon, Zion NP and Las Vegas before cruising into LA and shipping the Gal back to Perth, Western Australia. What a great adventure - the mileage ****ed (<10 mpg for >3,000 miles (Yuck)), but the old girl just kept rolling.
A lot of people just don't get it but I reckon it's great. It's far from perfect but I didn't pay for a perfect car, and I look forward to driving it as often as I can.
    I just love it.
