Can someone photoshop this 55 Packard hardtop for me. Looking for ideas and actual custom "pictures" of this car, before I make a purchase. I like the lines, and since being a hardtop (never owned one) its becoming appealing to me. Im thinking of replacing the wrap around rear window w/ a shobox style window.

NOOOOOOOO! don't get rid of the wrap around rear window. it realy finishes the look for a hardtop and makes it look more like it is suppose to be a hardtop not that is was cut into one. beautiful cars by the way.

it was just a thought...about the rear window. I guess I shouldnt fret about sinking in the gl***....

that is a ****ing beautiful car. something like that would cost a house over here...

the only thing i don't like is the slightly confused side mouldings, but the taillights are horn!

  12. Leave it alone and go mild... the tall slab sides are almost out of proportion with the low roof stock.

I love these cars. Especially the side trim. The problem is, they should hav used either the top piece, or the bottom piece... Not both.

But if you buy it and decide to ditch either set, or both sets of side trim, I'd gladly take them off your hands...

  17. 4t64rd's version gets my vote. i like all of em though

I agree that the tall sides and long flat roof give it a "factory" chop look already. Chopping it more might make it look out of balance and highlight the long flatness of the roof.
Plus, we all know how popular the taillights are on mercs and other customs.
