Its now a 496. It was a 489 until the cam got hungry and ate a roller lifter last year. It had to be bored .030. TH 400 with a trans brake, ford 9" with 4.56s. Im tired of wheely bars..I wanna put her on the back bumper just once.

Thanks for letting us ride along ! The split picture was a great ride ! Sounds like you are really running the RPM's hard at the end of the track ! What RPM's is she turning at the end of the track ? Dragging those bars at the light isn't making it go faster either . Take the bars off and see how it works out . Good luck on that 10 sec. this year ! You will brake it ! Retro Jim
Im twisting that motor 6900 thru the traps. We'll all be at Beaver Springs drag strip in the beginning of June if your in the area. Theres a big nostoagia race there for 3 days.
