Any one have any ideas on this one? It is for sale locally and I don't think its a 1928 Buick which is what it is listed as. The grill is missing but the wheels don't look the same as a Buick and rounded area by the windshield is pretty distinctive and much more square on the Buick. Thanks in advance.

It's certainly much older than a 1928 of any brand. Have you seen the car in person?

  4. Looks like a Dodge Bros Roadster from the later teens though the early '20s. I would guess with the exposed valve train it would be a teens model.

It is likely a 1916-1920 rather than a 1928. In 1921 the radiator and hood were raised to meet the line of the lower windshield. After 1920 the windshield had a curved lower frame to match the curved top cowl.

Certainly looks like that 1918 one.

I haven't seen it, just the photo.

    Thanks!

These pictures would suggest a 1918-ish Buick. Possibly the same as the E-49 in these pictures. Even the holes and beads in the firewall match the one in your picture, as does the engine block and valve train...

What ever year it is, it's cool, especially with that factory dropped axle:D

After comparing the firewalls between the two cars, it doesn't look a 1918 because of the different creases. The engine does look like a Buick.

I wonder if it could be a McLaughlin Buick with it being in Canada. That might explain the differences in creases ... just speculating though.
