Buick 1956 dynaflow problemes

    Hi

    ive got a wrong sound in my dynaslow, when i give full trottle on low it sound like an no clutch shift with manual...... I have the same probleme in reverse, only here it appears everytime because a little hig rev(?) and some times in drive, if i came on the trottle too hard.

    Do you guys know how much parts i need to swap/buy, i dont know much about automatics, so i will have someone do the job, i just have to pre order the parts because of the deliverytime from us to Norway.

    Sounds like converter or front pump issues. Not good! Probably a broken sprag clutch inside the converter. I am basing this due to noise in all drive ranges. The gearbox is pretty simple and would only make noise in certain drive ranges.

    Don't forget to mention the price of the adapter, and most importantly how much work and cost of replacing the closed driveline with an open one!

    Iv'e been looking about this since i got the car, because i love an good burn out. But its a little too much work for summertime and the next winter (got too much other things to do) so i need to fix it driveable for 2 more summers, with the original dynaflow. then Bentsen and a 9inch will find its place.

    Sorry d2 willlys, my answer was to post 2, I didnt refresh when i wrote. But thanks again for helping me out, the Buick now starts on a regular bases, so its on to the trans (didnt have this probleme when it didnt start lol) We have an auto trans expert around her with the best recomidation, but its kind of prisey. but he sure knows his thing araound an old trans, i might just have to wisit him ( his company name is RATS, (funny on this language)
