    Man,I ran across this site and was reminded of some great memories. I love the pictures on this site. when I was small we lived in torrance california and my dad raced jalopys at western in gardena or maybe ascot. I remember several 30-32 coupes and even a midget in the garage. this must have been 1957 or 58 to 60 or 61, there was a guy named Red who had a texaco station where we rode quarter midgets after the races. One of the drivers at the time was "the candy striped kid" I think his name was Allen Heath. i also remember a driver that had a hook for a hand. Dad's name was Ron Elsensohn, if any old timers remember say hello.
