Just got my T body this afternoon, so it's on fo' sho'. I mocked it up to my 2x4 ch***is to get an idea where I'm at. The ch***is is a straight copy from the CCR plans, except it was mocked 6" longer because of the fact the plans are for a SBC and I'm using a Ford in-line six which happens to only be 1.5" longer surprisingly enough, but I left the center 2x4's 96". There is 10" between the fan and front cross member if I use the suggested SBC mounting points. What kind of room do I need between the rad and fan?

The engine is a homely 170ci, that will be left mostly stock except for a lake header I'll build, ignition and intake. I really dig the looks of the inlines and this thing is so simple and will clean up real nice.

The rear kick will come up at least 2-3" inches (it's 8" now per CCR). The only bummer is I already have the 2"x3"x3/16" tube and ready to build, but I'll be in NYC for 6 days. At least I'll have something to do on the plane - plan the build.

The body seems to be good, I guess. I'm a little bummed about using 'gl*** considering my business is based almost solely on hot rolled sheet and tube, but I gotta start somewhere. I'll accent it nice and subtle with some steel bits here and there. The overall plan is to leave as much bare steel as we can without over doing it. (Over do bare steel? Never!) Eventually I'll swap the motor and body for power and real steel.

I'll post more as we build. The mock up shows one of my stock ***an wheels just to see where the axle and wheel will be. I'll be using shorter tires.
