Hmm, that sucks. Unfortunately, that happens all the time in my area, which happens to be one of the best spots to ride in the country, as well as a large concentration of white-tail deer.

Prayers Sent....pull through this one buddy.....

Having hit a deer with a bike I feel for him lost a friend a few years ago after he hit a deer. He had other problems but it was results of the deer accident that exacerbated them and cost him his life. I used to love to ride after dark but with the state of the deer population in rural areas don't do it anymore.

Steve has been sedated since being airlifted from the scene of the accident. He has a broken collar bone, ribs, and multiple skull fractures. Dr.s are hoping to lower his sedation by this weeken and remove his ventilator. He is still listed critical in ICU. He does have stable vitals but he is still not out of the woods. Thank you for all of the well wishes and prayers. They do not go unappreciated. Will keep everyone updated as we know more.

Steve's sedation has been lowered and he has been moving his fingers and toes. He responded to one of the nurses by blinking after being asked a question. He is still on a ventilator but the Dr.s are hoping to possibly take him off of it this week sometime. Still critical in ICU but some definate progress.
