engine to trans question

Hey everyone I have a 1964 Chevy Biscayne it has a 230 straight 6 with 3 on the tree trans. My question is if I get a 350 will the trans bolt up to it or will it need an adapter? I plan on getting a th400 in a month or two.

The transmission will work. I'm not sure, but your 6 bellhousing might bolt up to the V8 as well. You should be able to do the swap with all stock GM parts.
