Got a 58 Biscayne, and I had a set of 14' rims and www tires sitting around, since I got them for my old 60 Elky I thought they would fit no problem , well I threw them on and front left seems like is rubbing from the sway bar and on the top control arm, any ideas how to rectify this situation, I was thinking spacers but just want to make sure I'm not missing anything..

It must be the width of the tire you are using. My '58 Biscaynne came from the factory with 14" rims.

60s 14" steelies arent all the same some are 2" deep lip on them...u can run the spacers but id switch out to a late 60's steelie or even the 80's g body cars had steel wheels

be careful with spacers ive heard and seen some horror stories with them . if you do run them check wheel nuts with a spanner every day

Not to familiar with the yards in Kissimme but 98 AUTO PARTS hwy 50 Brooksville should have some.about a 40 minute ride from you. Also,if you have no luck there the Sumter swap meet is the 1st Sunday of the month, always pick some up there for 15 to 20 each.

I think the Elky came with wider brakes/hubs than the p***enger cars so the wheels are different back space?

I thought the 58's were a one year only wheel, maybe thats why.

Man, the fullsize Gm cars(57-64) ran a deep dish reverse rim.

I think the 57-58 rims are the same ( three raised dimples to retain the hubcap)

We used to look for station wagon rims. They are deeper dish. Less backspace. Some call them 409 wheels.
