Hello to all from the midwest! I'm new to the H.A.M.B, but have stopped in a few times.
Just getting started on a project. 1957 oldmobile 88 4dr. I actually have two cars, one was a running car 17 years ago before a buddy tweaked out
and stripped all the chrome and fenders and interior out to paint it and that is how it still is.
My question is what would be the best procedure to trying to get the motor running again without having to rebuild?!
I have all the usual tuneup parts, and plan on having the rad and gas tank cleaned and checked before starting the car.
    Any suggestions would be great.
Thank you in advance for any help.

    welcome from Wisconsin.
Try doing a search for starting a sleeping or stuck engine. There a quite a few posts here that outline the steps to take to awaken a sleeping motor.
    Good Luck
