This car is bitchin. I love the direction you are taking with it. I have a 1953 Club Coupe and have been looking for direction on stance and how to make it sit the way I want. after combing over this build I have found the direction I want to go. My car is in great shape and I am not going to do any heavy mods to it at all I am just going to make it sit lower in the back with some wide whites and steelies. Since it is yellow I am thinking of going with black steelies and dog dish hub caps. Scratch the wide whites I think skinny whites would look better with that wheel combo.
Got my new patch panels from Obselete Chevy in place. Waiting on rockers to come in before welding in...
My next trick is to extend the sheet metal on the skirts to make them match the lower line on the qtrs.....
These are close to the skirts I think youre after. Although I'd love to take credit for the fab work, I bought these from a guy. However, looking at the simple construction, anyone could build a set. I actually have to cut these apart and make more room for my sidewalls. While doing this, Im gonna make them a bit lower. The skirt is touching the tire in these pics. Hope this helps! Keep up the rad progress!! .
Really Diggin the looks of this 53! You dont see the 150 body style too much. Keep up the good work! Cant wait to see it all finished.
That is some very good reading , thanks very much for sharing your build. Im sure to use alot of it on my 49. Keep us updated Thanks
Not much progress lately because of the amount of collision work in the shop, but here is a recent pic... all welded on the left side..
hahahah. I'd be PISSED if some jerkoff bought my car and decided to back out. You bid on the car, you bought it. You should have looked at it before you bid. I'm not impressed with your morals.
