Found in the Lampas area of Texas. 55 chevy 150 post car. Been in the old barn for at least 30 years. Story goes that the kids told granny not to drive anymore and she parked in the barn.
and a texas car too , damn , what I would do to find that one , I know it's not polite to ask , but , did ya get it for a song?
---------------- Very cool! What's in it - 6cyl or V8? What are your plans for it?? Mart3406 ==========================
Tra la la. Six radio heater and 3 speed. Floors seem great. Some 1/4 damage and needs a right front fender. Back light was broken getting it out of the barn. Will sell it sometime this summer.
Looks a bit like the one my Gram had, back when they were new. Strange to folks eyes today, but Grandmothers knew how to drive stick back in the day. Hell, my Gram's first car with power steering was a '70 Nova 4dr. And she was 80. Traded in a '63 Falcon... Cosmo
ya fer shure gotta thank Granny for climbing out when she did. Looking at the myriad of dents and other damage, it seems that the kids were right. She was probably parking by ear. Nice ride...hope you sell it to someone that knows what they're doing - even better if it's a HAMBer that knows what they're doing (I understand that there are a few of them). dj
Wow, I'd sure like to have that one. I still want eventually to replace the 55 2 door post I had as a youngster , I never should have sold it but that's how it goes when you are young and foolish. Black laquer and cragar ss with a 327 it was fun.
I had a '55 210 2 dr sedan 36 years ago, same color, we called it Granny Green, with a white top. I painted it '75 Corvette yellow. 235 six, three-speed with floor shift. Had some fun with that car!
It would be nice if you could clean and touch up that quarter and fender to match and retain its overall, well preserved patina. .......oh and leave the granny thread spool as well, that adds huge character. ; )
