First off this is for this project: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=293022
Anyone have a picture of the backside of a 53 Plymouth steering wheel? I am missing the turn signal cancelling piece on the wheel itself. My Father took the thing apart last Summer, and we sent it to Dallas Steering Wheel to get it padded and covered in leather. My Father p***ed away in January, so my Daughter (10 Years old) and I are moving along to get it finished up and running. I would appreciate any help here. Thanks Murf

I have a 53, but the wheel is on the car.

try the guys at www.p15d25.com these guys are the experts on late 40s to 50s mopars.

When my youngest daughter was 9 she push me out of the way when I was tuning up our 52 Dodge. I loosened the plugs, she unscrewed and took out the plugs. I would start and she would hand tighten. She went around for weeks telling anyone who would listen how SHE tuned up the Dodge. :cool:After she turned 14, turned up her noise at my old cars, go figure.

My oldiest daughter hugged a hemi, 55 Desoto I was thinking on buying, when she was 16, dad had a huge smile.:D

    Enjoy your daughter.
Good luck, wish I cold help more.

If it is like my 54 it has a metal circle with two small tabs about 30 degrees apart on it. I'll try to get you a pic in a bit.

Thanks! She has been interested in helping me in the garage, and I got her an older Yamaha Quad to ride. I am impressed that in a period of 2 weeks she has figured out using the choke, and I can hear her blipping the throttle to keep it running before it gets warmed up, puts a smile on my face.
