I am wanting to throw this out to everyone here to see what the general concensus is.

I built this '34 street rod several years ago and it does nothing for me any more. I am just another candy coated car in a sea of candy coated cars.

I wanted to see if it could be changed into a custom-taildragger type of car. Rik and James D did some photoshoping for me,,,they do killer work and have great ideas! Much thanks goes out to them. THANKS!!!

Please give me your opinion, good or bad.

    As is-------------------------James D------------------------- Rik

I like the look, it's kind of gangsterish looking. If old gangsters drove Hot Rods that is.

I like the 34's..and all 3 look great
what doesnt do it for me in the 1st one is the thin walled tires, I would like to see some american racing TT15" in there with standard rubber..that to me would be the winner..jmo

That car looks as plastic as a Barbie Doll...I would sell it to a gold chainer and get Ford steel...again, my opinion....

In 1949, you'd have seen that car in the 3rd photo anywhere there was a "hot car" culture. Parked in hundreds of gas stations in the East and Midwest.

Pick up the most recent Rodders Journal and check out the article by Pat Ganahl on page 127. It's a missing roadster that's done like that. If that don't cinch it nothing will. I have a great set of real one bar flipper caps that I would sell off for that face lift. Third picture without the flames looks closer to coolness. If that is a gl*** car I would suggest going to the trouble of putting in a stock style chrome windshied frame for it to work right.

My vote would be Rikster's #3, and one way or t'other loose the tall wheels & modern mirrors. But, in the end it's whatever fries your bacon!

I personally think 34 Fords are better as Hot Rods and no fenders..but...I kinda dig yours w/ skirts and without the flames..I think it works!

BARF ! Fender skirts do NOT belong on anything older than a 50 style body.

I would have to see it in person, but #3 looks pretty cool in the picture. I have certainly never seen a '34 done like that.

It looks alot better than Rick Dores attempt. My dream build is a 34 of another make with skirts and a carson top.

#3 I'm with the guy who hates the mirrors, Head lights and rear tail light. I sort of agree about the looking very plastic. With those caps it needs more chrome on it to balance the look.
