I spoke to the company that bought the rights to the "vintage" line of paxton and he agreed that this blower was the replacement for the VR and VS chargers and are very valubale as they performed better and were more reliable than the other V's
i would not wanna guess..... he is advertising it as the original 1957 t-bird supercharger... i think we have figured out it is not...... but a guy who does not check may bid it up pretty high!!
McColloch made both the Paxton and the VS57 superchargers for 57 Ford 312 yblocks. A friend of mine has the VS57 mounted on the 292 in his Fairlane 500 with 2-4bbls. Another fellow from GA has a twin Fairlane 500 with 2-4bbls and a Paxton.
There are four in the "Y-Blockers" in LA still running strong. Two in '57 300 two door post cars and another in a '57 two door wagon. All are still top performers. There are two '57 T-Birds here in my city. Both haul fanny and go out to the Sacramento Valley Speedway regularly and bring home statues too. How many factory stock '57 Birds do you see with a factory 4 speed? One is here in town.
