I was wondering who is going to LSSRA State Run 2011 in Fredericksburg Texas? I have been attending since I was a kid and planning on heading to it this year. It is open to 72 and older this year. I hope that brings in a younger crowd more in my age group. I enjoyed the Fisher Park location in 70's and 80's, but have gone to Fredericksburg since they started holding it there.
I talked some folks this weekend and they said they were not going due to forecast of rain again at this show. I am still going and going to brave it out, anyone else going do same?
Yeah, I am going to have to try the good German food it has to offer since it is known for it. I may do a little shopping for some cool vintage stuff for the garage in downtown as well. I heard there is a new shop open on the main strip that offers rockabilly art work. Not sure name of it, but will have to find it when there.
I'll be there in my '60 wagon. Didn't get to go last year but looking forward to attending again this year rain or shine. Fredericksburg is a great place to host the event.
Made it to Fredericksburg. Some trouble on way. Tore transmission pan off with big hole. Had to replace and refill. About 2.5 hour delay in trip. Found NAPA auto which was good.
Anyone have any pics. of the run that they would like to post, or know of any sites that have posted pictures? I was there in a "33 Vicky but my camera was'nt and the last update to the LSSRA web site was before the run. Seems to me that, since this is the big event for LSSRA, they might update their web page faster.
Their website is weak and the pics they may post are weaker. They are web challenged and not open to positive change to grow the organization. The 2012 event that was held this past weekend had 228 cars.
