Need to get three Holley 94's rebuilt somewhere local in Southern California. Can anyone recommend anyone? I know I could probably do it myself but carbs scare the snot out of me and I would rather just pay someone to do it. These are the carbs...
I used these guys many years ago: http://www.sdcarb.com/ They were a little pricey, but did solid work.
Man what a good time to learn how to though, those are fairly simple to rebuild alot easier than a quadrajunk. Not trying to bust your balls but the kits are cheap also.
Listen Sutton, I am a complete hack and shouldn't even be allowed to look at old cars and I rebuilt my 94 in my old '52 and it worked like a charm with no leaks. I have complete faith in you my friend. You can definitely do it. Just buy the rebuilds kits and set aside a few hours and you'll be way ahead. I tore mine down and rebuilt it 3 times before proceeding with the new rebuild kit. I would only tear two down at a time so you always have on to reference.
I do my own, but a lot of guy's use "Carburetor Carl" Haren-- he works days at Ward Service in Monrovia, CA. "Carburetor" Carl Haren (626) 357-8080 Carl Haren from Duarte, CA, is a motorcycle enthusiast who races bikes and works on carburetors as a hobby. In 2000, Haren was excited to inherit his uncle’s vintage motorcycle that he remembers using to chase geese off the family farm in Illinois as a young boy. Not knowing what was actually given to him until his friend and fellow motorcycle racer, Scotty Parker, saw it and realized that Haren owned a running 1912 Pierce motorcycle. This bike is so rare that there are only five in the world that still run including Haren’s, according to experts. Similar bikes have sold for as much as $500,000, calling Jay Leno… Haren, has no intention to sell the bike despite legitimate offers. I have been offered a lot of money for it, but it is not for sale. Once it goes into a collection, no one ever sees it again and I don’t want that. He enjoys being able to show the bike at various motorcycle events, schools and museums and still rides it around the neighborhood. Any day I get up is a good day. I don’t care about money. If I got 35 cents in my pocket and a full tank of gas, I have plenty of money.
There's this place in Ontario,Ca off Mountain Ave between State St and Mission called Brothers Carburetors.
