Cruise Paradise 2012-Big Island Hawaii

Every 3 years the Hawaii classic cruisers has the cruise paradise event. The next one wiil be June28thru July 4th 2012. The 09 event was a great time for all who were there.We had about 400 cars at the show on July 4th ,I kwon thats is not alot for the mainland but it is real big for us.If any one wants any additional info PM me.The pdf files attached to this thread have the registration form and other info .

Jeff I have 2 cars now my dodge gasser and a 65 dodge dart mild custom getting painted right now. And hopefully my 37 pickup will be done. My point being I need drivers. You could be one.

Seriously though, here's the website for Matson with rates to and from the West Coast. Prices have gone up about $100 since I last shipped a vehicle here. $1072 from Seattle or California.

Looks like Young Brothers has a pretty cheap shipping rate for interisland shipping when you book a round trip within 30 days. Under a hundred bucks.

Matson and Pasha will ship your car right to Hilo. We will pick you up at the air port and drive you to the docks to pick up your car

 

Looks to be about $2100. roundtrip for Big Olds from Long Beach to Hilo. We'll see what happens in the next 12 months and whether I can save up that much. Big Olds will actually already be in Long Beach in June 2012 so all I'll really have to worry about is his boat trip.

Do they put him in a container by himself and tie him down? Do I have to be there at the exact time the boat gets there or will they hold him for a week or two at their facilities in Hilo??

 

Matson ships each car in a container.I think you have 3days to get it but it is sitting in a secure area on the pier. If you had to send him early I sure we could pick him up for you.

You are already there If you can handle the beast.Last year I lunched the 426 motor now it is a little bigger like 513.

 

Hell yeah, just put me down as pilot on the Gasser. I'm in. The 513 sounds fun... Hows the truck coming?

 

The truck is moving along but things keep getting in the way got the Hemi mounted working on the steering box mount.Don't know if it will be done but I am sure I can get running by "CP"12.

 

I know it's a year out, but we are really looking forward to being back on Hilo Bay with all the cars and our friends.

We can't wait... Especially knowing that we get to drive the "Beast" to the show.

 

So I guess I better get down to the shop and go to work on the truck.

 

Do you put this on in Hilo, or on the Kona side?

 

It goes on for 10 days their are events in Kona and in Hilo.the big show is on the 4th at Hilo bay with fire works at night.Some of the details are in the PDF file attacthed to this thread.
