Hey everybody. Just found this site. It looks GREAT ! ! IF you'll read my "about me" you'll see I have a long road ahead of me, but God willin' he'll leave me on the earth long enough to see this project through. I'll be looking where to post a picture on here.. still learning.. I just attached a picture of my original Coupe.. not sure where it will show up.. but I'm determined to get this workin', ya'all.... I have a couple of small block chevy's half built but am thinking I'll switch to a Big Block... as the engine compartment is HUGE in this lovely little girl.... ahahaha

    Howdy and welcome from Florida.

What is the name of the color on your car?

That is really one sweet looking ride and it's sitting just right.

I bet she is a lot of fun to cruise in.

Thanks... Actually, that picture was taken in about 1960. The car is long gone. Have no idea whatever happened to it. The color is Honduras Maroon, a Corvette color... loved it...

Welcome, I know I'm not the only one who'd like to see more photos of your old shoebox, as well as the story behind it.

Thanks. I just emailed my bro to ask him if that's what it was.. I think you are correct, as I just googled 55 lancer. And I remember that the strip was curved and we had to be careful to manipulate the twist in it to fit correctly.. thanks loads for the lead. I did remember that it was some sort of Chrysler ...

Welcome brother, you are blessed to be in one of the new hot rod capitols of the world. Austin is very special and I sure have had some great times there. So many cool people involved in the sport there that make it the best. Good luck with the new shoebox. The last one is awesome. Power on. ~sololobo~

Thanks again, all you guys !... It's been two years now, and a little progress has been made. Click on the link, and in the left column you will see the "49 Ford Coupe" Album. Click on the "49 Ford Coupe" text and the sub-album names will drop down. You can click on any of the sub-albums to check out the various stages of the build. The latest is "Prepping the Body". Hope ya'll like it...I'm posting pictures pretty regularly, so book mark it and check back from time to time.

Just accidentally ran across a post I made back in 2011. I got her (The Judge) on the road in early 2018 and fully completed in late 2018. Seems like just yesterday... here's my website: All the details....
