How many cars are usually at this show? I'm new to the East Coast and would probably drive up from Raleigh, NC if I knew about it earlier. It's about 6 hrs away, but it sounds like it's worth the drive for sure. I may have to make it up there next year!!!
Hey Furry, Welcome to the Hamb. Rob and I vend in Carlisle so we can't make it. But we will see you for sure in Sept.
last fall's hoedown had (i think just over) 700 cars show up. now when you factor out the late 60's muscle cars, there's still a shitload of cool stuff left. tons of cool people, way cool bands, BOOZE AND BEER, tons of cute chicks, and no problems (such as fights or disorderlies) whatsoever. i would tell you drive up for this one for sure, if you need hotel info. or someone to show you around friday or saturday night, lemme know. i'm probably the closest person to the show area AND i'll buy the first round! tred.
Actually, I think the final car count for last year was closer to 800 cars. But who's counting? The Spring R&R show is usually smaller, but its always great to see everyone after a long winter. The local paper, Delaware News Journal, interviewed me about the show, and even sent out a photographer to my place for shots of the Buick and me! The story will run in Friday's paper. Should be interesting to see what comes out in print. It was a reporter that didn't know a damn thing about cars so who knows... Its strange being on the other side of the lens.... Spike
Yeah, I'll be there. I'm here at the University of Delaware in Newark, which is only like 20 minutes away. I was at the fall Hoedown, which was a cool time. I might as well go, what else am I gonna do, study?
Sounds like a great time! If the wifey wasn't outta town and I wasn't holdin' the fort down, I'd surely head up there! I think there's some guys here in Raleigh that would make the trip too... next year if I pay closer attention and notice when it's coming up I'll be able to plan for it... Still getting used to and trying to figure out what happens here on the East coast.
ha... weather ya right with our luck come on im goin regardless i got nothin better to do and its always nice to see everyone
