Buddy of mine has been doing a lot of "s****ping" since the prices are up. He got this car along with a Pasture full of Farm equipment a few weeks ago and decided it was in good enough shape to try and sell it on ebay instead of crushing it. He thought it was a '50, but it looks newer than that to me.

Most of the body looks to be in fairly good condition, but the Floorpans are rotted out. Dash has a covering of surface rust, but is still good solid metal.

Thanks. We looked at the VIN tag, but couldn't figure out what year it was. I was pretty sure it wasn't a '50, but I don't think I have ever seen an unmodified '50 so I wasn't positive.

This same friend built a bad ***ed 500 caddy that I posted Pictures of a while back. He has it in his '69 Chevy pickup now and that thing definitely fills the engine bay. He has about 1/4" clearance on each side between the heater core and the Brake booster. He had to put the Fan in front of the radiator...

He fired it up for me so I could get a short mpeg of it running. Listening to it run, you wouldn't think it was a 500 incher. It revs more like a hot small block. It ought to though, considering he has about $7 grand wrapped up in it.

Must Be a 53. 54 was the first year for the Y-block. 54 would have come with a 239 Y.

I just took pictures for him so he could list it. Didn't think to ask him what he wanted for it because I wasn't too interested in it. Except for Henry J's I'm not a fan of early 50's cars.

those canadians got all the cool cars, they got the meteors, and later flatheads. and i think 1958 poncho sedan deliverys, not sure if they made those in us or nnot but pretty sure theyre not.

  20. Will he sell me the upper grill lip? for what I need it can be rusty, just not full of holes.

What are you talking about, the painted part or the part that used to be chromed?

I'll ask him, but he intends on trying to sell it all in one piece. If it doesn't sell, he may pull some of the better parts and pieces off before he crushes it. Most of the side Trim looks to be in pretty good condition.
