Hey folks check out this unique vid of the show by Josh Clason.
You'll recognize a few locals representing AND fair warning - of few of you may cringe in a few spots but I thought overall it was pretty cool.

I saw Josh filming a few times during the weekend. I was climbing out of the ACME van and he had this cool little gear driven rack on his tripod that alowed him to get all of the smooth pans with his camera.

Nice video, I like the whole feel of it. Of course it doesn't hurt to see my van in there either.

He has mad skills with the camera, smooth and calm. Relaxing vid to watch. How does he pan out and up like that?

He uses a Jib (like a small crane) and a canon 7d camera ( still and video) looks like a still camera.. All the things I wish I had :(

I looked for the rig he had on-line but didn't find it. It looked like a flat bar with a slider and a geared belt that would pull the camera along as he cranked a handle. It moved the camera really smoothly. The faster he turned the faster the camera would slide. I saw him position the rail at an angle so the camera would move up and down and I saw him stick the rail into an open car door so the camera could be moved into the car as he was filming.

Very neat set-up and only about 4 ft. wide so it was portable and he used it on a medium base tripod.
