No picture so I already know this thread is useless:)
Yesterday I looked at a 1961 ford Galaxie 2 door sedan thats been sitting in a shed for a long time.
Sadly the shed has no roof.
My question is not about value but about production. Was the Galaxie 2 door sedan a big seller?
I look at a lot of cars and dont recall seeing many of these.

  2. No help for sure but I don't recall seeing a lot of them either. I don't know production numbers on them shouldn't be hard to find with a google search. Never the less it seems like I have mostly seen 4 door sedans or 2 door hardtops not too many 2 door sedans. Sounds like a good candidate for a dirt track car, or would have been.

1961 Galaxie 2d Sedan production was 27,780 (msrp base $2,538).

If the car is a Custom 300 2dr post (model 64H), then production was 49 (yes, FORTY-NINE).

    Thanks for the quick responses!
I havent looked it over at all but it is in Minnesota and sitting on a dirt/mud floor.
I'll revisit the car this week and investigate.

Minnesota? Mud floor? Ah, I sense a Flintstone-mobile.

Check Dearborn Cl***ics, etc. for floor pans...

no roof and mud floor, that sounds scary. there isnt a ton of them but they are out there, they seem to have a pretty low survival rate for some reason. i must say they are the most *****in looking galaxies ever made tho:D
